The mass human exodus from Myanmar to Bangladesh has turned Cox’s Bazar into the world’s largest refugee settlement.
The mass exodus of the Rohingya has begun and since then over 700.000 people have fled the violence in the Rakhine State, in Myanmar. The most vulnerable are the children, the old and the women. These camps are the biggest in the world - almost a million souls now live in Cox's Bazar area. The people are very vulnerable, highly depending on the humanitarian help for water and food, and the treatments.
